Current Projects

WebMARS/WebMARS-SpinOff: The CEB has developed an automated system, called Web Based Medical Article Record System (WebMARS), to produce bibliographic records for its MEDLINE® database from full text versions of HTML (PDF) format online journal articles. The WebMARS employs document image analysis and understanding techniques, and DOM technology to complement existing MARS. I develop Internet applications in DHTML, ASP, Javascript, and VisualBasic for the Library of Medicine. In my programs, I retrieve data using ADO from MS-SQL server. I also analyze requirements and write the software design documentation. I use and maintain the Internet Information Server (IIS) for the application. Other responsibilities include developing C++ class libraries to provide HTML parsing functionality as well as storing data using ADO technology and STL.
