Dr Dina Demner-Fushman was elected to the membership of the American College of Medical Informatics for major contributions to research in natural language processing and information management for biomedicine.

Dr Daniel Le received the Regents Award for Scholarship or Technical Achievement in recognition for leading the development of the Publisher Data Review System to automatically extract bibliographic data from full-text articles, frequently missing in citations sent to NLM by publishers.

Doctors in NCI's Hormonal and Reproductive Epidemiology Branch (HREB) are using the Boundary Marking Tool developed by NLM�s Communications Engineering Branch to support a multi-year study aimed at devising a more effective strategy for selecting biopsy sites on the uterine cervix for women undergoing colposcopy.
