Current Projects

Biomedical Multimedia Databases and Tools: As a member of the team on this project, I have been responsible for development and maintenance of the Boundary Marking Tool, a Java Web Start program designed for entering and storing expert evaluations of biomedical images. The tool has been used by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) to perform a wide range of scientific studies, and the experience gained is helping to evolve it into a more flexible, configurable biomedical image markup tool.

Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR): As a member of the team on this project, my role has been to develop and deploy tools which can showcase in-house developed algorithms for segmentation, indexing and retrieval of images.

Engineering Labs: Responsible for maintaining engineering lab hardware and software resources to support a range of branch projects, including the two above.
