“Motion JPEG 2000 and Video Archiving - Metadata from a Tool Implementer’s Viewpoint”

ABSTRACT

The presentation considers lossless Motion JPEG 2000 as a possible archiving format.  While several aspects are touched on, the focus will be MJ2’s pluses and minuses for metadata, the subject of a recent review.

BIOGRAPHY

Glenn Pearson

Glenn Pearson has a Ph.D in Computer Science from University of Maryland, College Park.  He is a Senior Computer Scientist with MSD, Inc., and has been working at NIH for over five years, most recently involving video projects.  His current work includes contributing metadata software for the OpenJPEG project.
